Simon will retire from the company, and that its board of directors has appointed Adam P. Briggs as its new President and CEO, both effective January 1, 2010.

Acumentrics Receives $15.6 Million DOE Fuel Cell Development Contract
The Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) has awarded Acumentrics Corporation a 3-and-a-half year $15.6 million (including the cost-share provided by Acumentrics) grant to continue advancement of the company’s tubular solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology and to double the size of the units to 10 kilowatts.

Fuel cell developer Acumentrics Corporation announced today that one of America’s most distinguished military leaders, General P. X. Kelley, U.S. Marine Corps (Retired), has joined the company’s board of directors. General Kelley served as the 28th Commandant of the Marine Corps and was a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1983 to 1987.

Models with a rugged 2U chassis design are available in 850VA, 1250VA or 1650VA versions.
