What are Rugged Industrial UPS Products?

Acumentrics did not make an off-the-shelf UPS and then adjust it. From the start, we designed our UPS products with rugged features. We have honed our expertise over 12 years of delivering to harsh environments. All of our Rugged-UPS units have:

• power components rigidly attached to the chassis.
• components that can operate in temperature extremes of zero to 150ºF.
• 150 g shock tolerance,
• 3-foot corner-drop tolerance
• the ability to run in dust and rain.

Our Rugged-UPS operates in the kind of heat, cold, dust, rain, shock, and vibration that can easily destroy other units. Our 2 kW units with flow-through heat sinks have such a high tolerance to sand, that they are requested for use by the military.

Clearly, these units meet a specialized need. Those needs are primarily in the military and in industries that operate in harsh environments. Usually they are employed in mobile equipment that takes a pounding. Our customers tell us that the units are reliable and are the best on the market.
